Do We Ever Fully Recharge?
Do you think that you will ever be fully recharged?
Let that sink in...
Heather and I had a conversation a couple of weeks back about feeling guilty about not being more productive with our downtime. ‘I should be working on my certifications’ and ‘I need to be working on my marketing deck for my business’. But neither of us could summon the energy. And then it hit me...
We are like the phones in our hands right now. Continuously in use. We’re heavily relied upon to be the hub of information, communication, schedules, and entertainment.
When our phones run low on a charge, we plug it in just long enough to make it thru the day or my favorite...plug into an alternative source of power to keep it running while we use it. Some applications suck up the battery life faster than others.
I have a pretty good hunch that we treat ourselves the way as we treat our phones. An hour here, 20 min there for rest or ‘me time’ to recharge may be enough to get us thru the day, week, or even the month. But we don’t ever fully recharge with small clumps or blocks of time... especially when you use your free or down time to do catch up on everything else.
How do you recharge, but more importantly what areas in your life need to be recharged?
